Sign up for Nelnet’s Delinquency Reporting Tool: Nsight

[Here is the text from a recent email blast that we sent to all of our schools.  If you haven’t  had a chance to sign up for Nsight, read the information below and follow the link.  It takes just a few mintutes to get started.  Thank you, Jim]

Nelnet is pleased to announce a new online reporting tool that will enable schools to access information for both lender-owned and Department of Education (ED)-owned loans, including PUT loans, serviced by Nelnet. This flexible solution allows users to pull information for borrowers in all statuses, including delinquent borrowers (by days delinquent). Schools also have the ability to establish pre-scheduled report runs, export report data to PDF or Excel files, and access information for multiple school and/or branch codes.

Nelnet’s online tool features the following reports:

  • Core Data: Loan data based upon Delinquency Range and/or Graduation Date
  • Deferment and Forbearance Data: Loan data based upon Delinquency Range, Graduation Date, and/or Deferment/Forbearance Date
    • This report can be filtered by the following information:
      • Lender-owned or ED-owned
      • Specific SSN
      • Deferment/Forbearance type
      • School code (if multiple schools associated with user ID)
      • Lender
  • Reference and PLUS Dependent Data:
    • This report can be filtered by the following information:
      • Lender-owned or ED-owned
      • Specific account number
      • School code (if multiple schools associated with user ID)
      • Loan type

The targeted product release date is March 29, 2010. In order to establish user access prior to the release, we request that you complete this form designed to gather the following user-specific and school demographic information needed to create your user ID:

  • Requestor name
  • School name (main branch name if more than one school/campus)
  • School code(s) (eight-digit code)
  • State of school location (main branch location if more than one school/campus)
  • Requestor e-mail address
  • Requestor phone number
  • Requestor fax number

Once your access has been established, you will receive a notification e-mail from the Nelnet School Service Center (ssc@nelnet.net) containing your user ID, password, and general information regarding Nelnet’s online Delinquency Reporting tool. Upon accessing the site, a link will be presented that provides access to a helpful and easy to follow user guide.

Please don’t hesitate to share the form with other financial aid officers who may require access to Nelnet’s delinquency information.
