Pam King, Nelnet Partner Solutions

Jim: What area do you cover for Nelnet?

Pam: I work in the Midwest region of the country covering Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Jim: Where do you live?

Pam: Ozark, Missouri.

Jim: How many years have you worked in the financial aid industry?

Pam:  I have been in the industry for 18 years; seven of those have been with Nelnet.

Jim: What previous positions have you held?

Pam: Prior to joining Nelnet, I was a Client Services Representative for MDHE/MSLP in Missouri.  I also worked for Missouri State University as a Loan Processor.

Jim: Are you a member of any financial aid industry associations?

Pam: I am a member of all the state associations in my territory as well as the regional association, MASFAA.

Jim: What is your education background?

Pam: I have a Master of Arts in communications and a Bachelor of Science in administrative management from Missouri State University.

Jim: Pam, tell me about your family.

Pam: I have a fiancé, Kerry, and my daughter, Shaina, is 20 years old. As an empty nester and avid animal lover, I have four dogs and six cats that all came to me as rescues or strays.

Jim: What are some of your interests outside of work?

Pam: I enjoy my pets, gardening, bird watching, photography, snorkeling, community service work, and anything outdoors where I can appreciate nature.

Jim: Tell me one thing about you that many people may not know.

Pam: Many people are surprised to find out that I have lived in the Ozark vicinity my entire life.  100% of my very large family also lives in southwest Missouri.  It’s a beautiful place to be raised and an even better place to raise your own family.
