Understanding the ins and outs of loan servicing isn’t always easy. But we like to help.

Nelnet Partner Solutions continues to offer our Webinar Wednesday series. Delivered on a weekly basis, Webinar Wednesdays feature important training and topics of interest geared specifically toward school personnel. Sessions are offered Wednesdays at both 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (Eastern). Registration is required.

Using Nsight – Nelnet’s Loan Status Reporting Tool (November 3)
This session will provide information on how to use Nsight, Nelnet’s loan reporting tool. For current users and non- alike, this helpful session will outline the type of information available via the tool, how to set up automated reports, and provide a review of frequently asked questions from existing users. (Approx. 45 minutes in length)

Understanding Federal Direct Consolidation Loans (November 10)
This session is an introduction to Federal Consolidation Loans. We will discuss benefits, eligibility, the current in-school consolidation option, and how consolidation impacts a school’s default rate. We will also address the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. The session will conclude with some common FAQs associated with Direct Consolidation Loans. (Approx. 45 minutes in length)

Delinquency Management (November 17)
This is a reprise of training held in August. Data collection for the 3-year CDR is underway as of October 2010; be certain you are familiar with the changes.
This session will address why, now more than ever, default prevention is important to schools. We’ll look at risk factors for default and how your campus as a whole can play a role in managing delinquency. We’ll explore the unique connections between loan default and student success and offer strategies to manage both. (Approx. 60 minutes in length)
