New Regional Director Assignments for the RMASFAA Region
I am pleased to announce two new Nelnet Regional Director assignments in RMASFAA.
Don Buehrer has been named the Nelnet Regional Director for the states of South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Utah and Montana. Don currently serves as the Regional Director for Texas and will continue those responsibilities.
Don is no stranger to RMASFAA, having served as the Director of Financial Aid at Mount Marty College (SD) from 1980 to 1991. In addition, he has served and chaired numerous RMASFAA committees and was named to the RMASFAA Hall of Fame in 1995.

Dawn Knight has been named Regional Director for Colorado. Dawn will continue her responsibilities in North Dakota, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.
Dawn joined Nelnet in 2000 and is focused on ensuring delivery of quality service and enhanced communications in support of Nelnet’s Department of Education loan servicing contract. Prior to joining Nelnet Partner Solutions, Dawn worked in Nelnet Campus Solutions as a Campus Director for career schools in the western United States. Prior to that, Dawn worked in Nelnet Loan Services as a member of the Lender Support Services team. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Tax Accounting and Mathematics from the University of Southern Maine and her Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics from Purdue University

Two former Nelnet Regional Directors have been named to other positions within the company.
Mark Schilmoeller is now a Vice-President with Nelnet Business Solutions NBS). Mark and his team are responsible for collaborating with their school clients on the NBS Tuition Payment Plan solution and discussing other needs of their clients.
Alan Ishida is now working with Nelnet Diversified Solutions (NDS) on the development of a default aversion program that assists in putting students on the path to financial wellness. This service allows NDS to perform student loan repayment communication campaigns to students on a school’s behalf. Additional information on this program will be announced in the very near future.
