Nelnet’s School Service Center – Here to Help You!

September 14, 2011

Nelnet’s School Service Center (SSC) has been helping schools for over 6 years.  They are committed to providing solutions to help you help your students.  SSC representatives are currently 5 strong with a combined 56 years of student loan servicing experience.  In early fourth quarter we’ll be adding 3 more representatives to ensure that you have the best service possible.  They are located in Aurora, Colorado and in Lincoln, Nebraska.  The SSC representatives are extensively trained in all areas of loan servicing to create a one-stop-shop for all your needs.   The School Service Center also looks for trends to better assist our customers to find resolution…whether it’s providing different tools to access information or enhancing our current processes and training.

Many of the inquiries received are about the status of student current file, default prevention, and clarification on student accounts.

What can SSC help me with?  Well, just about everything on Nelnet serviced loans.

  • General questions on all loans in servicing (account status, address to return funds, default prevention, etc…)
  • All questions regarding FFEL/commercial loans (loan adds/changes, disbursement adjustments, demographic changes, etc…)
  • Assist in providing correct contact information if unable to provide resolution
  • Nsight (sign-up, navigation, password resets, etc…)

How can I reach them?
