You Spoke, We Listened: New Series for Jim’s Blog 2012

February 17, 2012

Last month, I asked you to tell us what new topics you would like to read about on Jim’s Blog. I am happy to inform you that we will be meeting all of the topic requests we received. Based on your feedback, we will be adding a Default Prevention series, A Student’s Story series, and we will be incorporating more information unique to graduate schools.

We want to thank the following individuals for their wonderful suggestions:

  • Doreen Richmond, from Montcalm Community College, wants to read more about default management, including how other institutions are managing their process, sending out letters to students in danger of delinquency, and more. For Doreen and others with the same interest, we are adding a new Default Prevention series.
  • Molly Schroeder, from Wartburg Theological Seminary, asked us to specifically address the unique needs and support of graduate schools. Thanks Molly. We will begin to add more focused information for graduate schools across our blog articles when it is applicable.
  • Charlene Bennett, from Florida State College of Jacksonville, and Mark Delorey, from Western Michigan University suggested blogging more about students, their unique stories, and their successes. We are adding a new series called A Student’s Story. We will blog about different students across the country.

In addition to these new series, we came up with some new ones of our own and will continue those that were popular last year. Here is a list of Jim’s Blog series for 2012. We hope there is a little something, or a lot of something, for all of you!
