A Day in the Life: Meet Ron Day, Your 2011-2012 NASFAA Chair Elect
Ron Day is Director of Financial Aid for Georgia’s Kennesaw State University and has worked in financial aid at a number of institutions in the South since he began his career in the financial aid profession in 1983. He has held various leadership positions in the South Carolina, Alabama and Georgia state associations and has served SASFAA, his regional association, as President in 2003-04. Ron has also given back to his national association through his membership on the Board of Directors in 2003-05 and through a wide range of committee work, ranging from AGMC to Awards to Finance to Leadership.
Jim’s Blog will be chronicling Ron Day’s year-long adventure as 2012-13 NASFAA Chair. Ron is currently the 2011-12 NASFAA Chair Elect and has spent much of this year shadowing Pam Fowler, 2011-12 NASFAA Chair. Ron will spend an entire year on the road sharing his passion for educating students and years of “behind the desk” knowledge with Capitol Hill and FAA’s across America. We hope this helps our readers to get to know the man behind our interest column, A Day in the Life. In our next story in this series, we will get to know Ron a little better on a personal level. Stay tuned for Kristi Jones and Amy Moser’s interview with Ron held at a recent conference.
