Apps for Life: TeleNav GPS
A few months ago I was traveling with a fellow team member for an on-site training at a college. Now, when I travel to colleges, my routes are very ordered…same start point to end point. This particular day threw me off because it was the only school I was going to and I only knew how to get there one specific way…and I didn’t have my Garmin with me. That’s when I was introduced to the TeleNav GPS app by my co-worker. She was completely sold on it, so, I thought I would give it a try.
Now I use TeleNav GPS all the time…sometimes even if it’s a place I know how to get to…testing its accuracy. I will say that I have only had one misguide. However, it was a road that had been newly reconstructed. Other than that, I have not been led astray.
What I like about the TeleNav GPS app:
- It’s on my smart phone and/or tablet…I don’t have to carry another gadget!
- The provider sends me the updates versus connecting to a web-site and updating.
- Reroute feature for those wrong turns.
- When searching gas stations, it will list the cost as well so you can compare prices!
- Connects to your address book.
- You can track your mileage and email your information…nice for expense reports!
- Finds community organizations and businesses around you.
- The TeleNav GPS app is free!
- Option to get voice guided service…cost to add is $9.99/year…worth it!
So, if you travel often, this app is one you definitely want to add to your smart phone. With that, I wish you all safe travels this summer season…and may you never be lost!
Raina,
I use TeleNav, too, and it is well worth the $10/year!
I will have to check this out too. Thanks Raina!
