Ever Wonder What We Send Borrowers When They Miss a Payment?

ron's blogOne of our primary responsibilities as a federal loan servicer is to inform borrowers of their repayment options. This is especially true when we need to reach out to borrowers who may fall behind on making their payments. We realize there may be a variety of reasons why a borrower misses a payment. We want to let them know they have options and that it’s important to remain in a successful repayment pattern.

At Nelnet, we are committed to providing you, our school partners, with helpful tools and resources. That’s why we want to share with you a sampling of the communications we send our borrowers who are late making payments. We have many more communication touch points with borrowers, so we aren’t able to provide each and every communication. However, we feel this will give you a good idea of what we send.
