Latest from FSA: Myths About Financial Aid

October 3, 2013

Have you heard these financial aid myths floating around your school?

  • “My parents make too much for me to receive federal aid.”
  • “I need to file my taxes before completing the FAFSA.”
  • “The FAFSA is too hard to fill out.”
  • “My grades aren’t good enough for me to receive aid.”
  • “My age makes me ineligible for aid.”

None of these statements are true, and this video from FSA clearly explains why. Share it with students on your website or social media pages!

    Hi Jim,

The video on Myths about FA is great and I was wondering how I can share it with my students on Concordia’s website – when I tried to click on the box to send as an email I got this message: Done but errors on page so I could not send it…

I then clicked on the Latest on FSA link (just after FSA), I got this below… [cid:image002.jpg@01CEC350.DAD909E0]

Thanks for your help, GloHennig Director of Financial Aid CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY ________________________________

      Hi Glo!

It is great to see you! Hope we can run into each other soon. Maybe at one of the upcoming conferences. Try this: just right click on the video and then select “Copy Video URL”. Then just paste that link into you email.

Let me know if that doesn’t work. (Thanks to Jodi and Kristin on my school team with those directions).

Take care and see you soon!

      Jim
